Case study: Pío Díaz
An archive that makes the store make sense.
Pío Díaz makes objects. piodiaz.dk is where the work lives — series by series, year by year — and where the thinking behind formsnature.com becomes clear.
Scope of work
- Custom WordPress theme from scratch
- Series-based navigation
- Work documentation pages
- Cross-site identity with formsnature.com
- Favicon and brand alignment
Approach
How do you build an archive that earns its place?
Pío Díaz’s artistic practice moves between installations, objects, light and research into natural form. It needed a digital presence that could hold the work, its ideas and its commercial objects without reducing either to a standard portfolio or online shop.
We designed and developed two original WordPress websites with a shared visual system and distinct roles. piodiaz.dk works as the artist’s portfolio and editorial space, presenting the practice, selected works and ongoing research through a more immersive visual structure. formsnature.com translates the same identity into a dedicated platform for limited-edition light sculptures, with detailed product information, availability enquiries and a calm route into the collection.
Both sites share a recognisable language of typography, space, navigation and image-led storytelling. They also connect directly with each other, allowing visitors to move naturally between the artist’s wider practice and the objects available through Forms in Nature.
